Your duties and responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of a Supply Chain Inventory to achieve smooth material flow to production schedules globally, using defined processes & systems of control that manage inventory levels and minimise financial exposure in line with Company requirements.
Central contact person for assigned Global suppliers related to Operational Buying topics: quantity, deadline, order confirmation, delayed deliveries, non-conformance recovery etc.
Central contact person for assigned Global material domains for all internal questions regarding demands from the production area etc.
Responsible for the implementation of data for requirement planning. To negotiate and enforce the delivery time. Negotiate the quantity of the parts held by the supplier to ensure material availability against the forecast with consideration to engineering changes (Kanban Inventory). Order material from the Global supplier according to the agreed system of supply/logistic models.
Develop and execute systems of supply/ logistic concepts. Implement solutions through engaging with our suppliers which improve delivery capacity, flexibility of delivery and reliability of the suppliers.
Responsible for assisting in the prioritization of labour and capacity with our suppliers to ensure material is available according to the customer requirements
Responsible for enforcing material to be delivered in adequate packing in co-operation with the supplier, Commodity Manager (CM), Supplier Quality (SQ), logistics and production planning.
Assist your associated Commodity Manager to communicate the forecast (rolling future demand) to the suppliers (MPS & Options forecast) .
Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of defined material master data in SAP to secure the optimized order size in reference to the production costs, availability and inventory.
Participate and cooperate with Procurement Engineer, Commodity Manager & Supplier Quality in special projects.
Assessment and presentation of Suppliers Performance with reference to the logistics criteria (supplier’s reliability) OTD %, RFTQ & Turns periodically.


Responsible for monitoring order confirmations and prioritise delivery dates. Regularly review the delivery status and monitor and changes. Discrepancies need to be known, root causes have to be analysed and corrective actions put in place with the supplier.
Responsibility for expediting part Shortages to ensure material availability. Ensure the Production Planner is kept informed of issues in a timely manner where changes to the build plan may be required.
When placing orders/call offs against contracts ensure that the price and/or quantity have been confirmed and acknowledged to reduce the risk of Invoice Trackers.
Responsible for the inventory and ‘Reach’ weeks of the material within your agreed material-domain
Be the central contact person for the supplier/CM/SQ
To review and approve/deny material requests by Service for your agreed material-domain
Be a mentor to new colleagues and support them
